For Garbo

Up until now, I could not see through the tears well enough to write this. On Friday May 13th, my beloved 3 legged baby girl Garbo crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

My love for Garbo is and was boundless. She had a beautiful life, and was such a loving being and spirit She was the embodiment of beauty courage and loyalty. She had innate dignity, and grace. She was brave, inspirational and had such a zest for life.

Garbo

There is a large hole in my heart. Garbo taught me so much. She brought out the best in me and in so many others. That is the legacy and gift she left us. Thank you Garbo for coming into this world, you will FOREVER be a part me. The last thing she did on this earth was kiss me…Garbo I miss you so!

Garbo

Thanks again Tripawds, and thank you for all the loving support you shared with us!

Love,

Ellin

  2. I had the privilege of getting to “know” Garbo, her humans and the rest of her dog/cat pack as a result of a Helpline call. It was a connection that was “meant to be”.

I got to see firsthand the Soul deep bond between Garbo and her Mom and Dad. Their devotion and dedication to do EVERYTHING possible to give Garbo the best life possible knew no bounds. Garbo had her own suitcase packed with “her stuff” for her overnights at the Vet’s. She was on a protocol of some natural supplements that her humans made sure she had on a scheduled basis, along with well thought out nutrition. They left no stone unturned when it came to Garbo’s care!

Garbo handled being a tripawd with magical ease…ESPECIALLY for a senior large dog!! She meant every challenge in life head on! When so e vets suggested Barbo was NOT a good candidate for surgery, Garbo showed them she wasn’t through with soaking up more loving and spoiling yet! Her Mom heard her loud and clear!

And it wasn’t the stupod piece of crap disease that ended her earthly journey, it was increasing recurring pneumonia and more vet stays that made her decu she was more than ready to jump out of her weakened earthly body and run free and young to the Bridge! Garbo the Miracle Dog lived life on her terms…And did it brilliantly!

Ellin, your heartfelt words have paid tribute to Garbo beautifully, absolutely beautifully! The way you expressed her essence is just lovely.

And these pictures…melting my heart over here! She’s a beauty alright!

Surrounding you with Garbo’s eternal grace…And sweet, sloppy, “thank you” kiss of gratitude!

  5. Ellin and Mort, Garbo was a beautiful and gentle dog. She was such a sweet soul and I feel privileged to have known her, spent time with her, and made her chicken jerky. ☺️ You absolutely amazed me at how much care you gave her, from standard medicine to acupuncture. You didn’t miss a thing when it came to the care and love you gave Garbo. Your friend Sally expressed exactly what I want to say, and she expressed it so eloquently, as did you in the attached article. Stay strong, knowing Garbo’s beautiful spirit is all around you. ❤️❤️❤️Lots of love, Jenny xoxo
