Daisy, Doozie, Dooey, Doodlebug, Craisy Daisy, Devil Dog – she had many names and was loved as much as any dog could be.
Our beloved Daisy Duke was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in February 2012. Despite having had two TPLO surgeries over the years, at almost 12 she was a lean, keen, rabbit-chasing machine so we decided on amputation and chemo.
She adjusted great to being a Tripawd. She put up a valiant fight against “Mr. C” but eventually grew weary. We said goodbye to her on May 21, 2013 and not a day goes by where I don’t think about her.
I’m happy that the end was peaceful and that we had so many wonderful people to help us and her on the journey.
What a beautiful girl!!!
