Triton is an inspiration to me and to everyone he meets.
He was born with a malformed left front limb and rescued by my friends that run a private shelter, after he was turned over to a public shelter by his breeder when he was only weeks old. He has had multiple surgeries due to congenital joint issues. The vet thought he would only live to around 2.5 years at his annual exam when he was a year old. He turned 6 on December 15, thanks to my friends who rescued him and let me adopt him, and the veterinarians who have performed his surgeries and done his rehabilitation throughout the past 5 years.
He never lets a rough patch get to him, and makes me want to face life the way he does…without complaint and head-on !!
Yup, don’t our tripawds put us to shame with their resilience, strength, and determination to take each day as it comes and live each day to the fullest! Daily lessons for us humans who are so challenged in the realm of the here and now. Bless you for being there for Triton and believing in him. And Triton, keep on hoppin’ on buddy!
