Meet Miraculous Buddy
Buddy has always been too smart for his own good. He’s one of those dogs that everyone who meets him falls in love with him, including those that don’t like dogs or are afraid of dogs. He is always so happy and friendly. On February 15th, 2023, Buddy was hit by a car. He suffered with a head trauma, bruised lung, and a severed nerve in his right front leg (that would need to be amputated). It was a miracle that he survived the accident.
Tripawd Buddy’s front Limb Amputation Story
March 14, 2023 was his day to have his leg amputated. The surgery went well. Everything was looking good. We were to pick him up at 4:45pm. When we got there, the doctor asked us if he could take new Tripawd Buddy home to watch him. He didn’t feel comfortable sending Buddy home just yet. At 7:40 pm that night, we got a call from the doctor saying Buddy turned for the worse and to come to the hospital. When we got there, Buddy’s doctor and another doctor were working on him. Buddy was unresponsive.
The doctor said it didn’t look good and he was getting worse. He thought a blood clot got loose and went to his brain. Checking Buddy’s eyes, he said there is nothing there as he patted Buddy’s head. He was basically telling us that Buddy was brain dead. We prayed over Buddy and were going over our options. Then out of nowhere Buddy started to respond to us, and doctors were back to work. Buddy was fighting for his life.
We decided to have the doctor take Buddy back home with him on IVs and emergency medication. Needless to say, none of us, or the doctor, got any sleep that night. 8:48am (now March15, 2023 exactly one month from being hit by a car), the doctor called and said Buddy was doing better, he’s alert and sitting up. The doctor said it was an overt MIRACLE and that he was a different dog than from the night before.
Buddy’s Prayers Were Answered
The doctor was shocked and said prayers were answered (including his) and that Tripawd Buddy is a true MIRACLE. Then the doctor joked and said “don’t let him know that he’s not a cat.” 3:42pm March 15 we get a text that Buddy is ready to come home. We went to pick Buddy up, and the entire office had already heard his story and couldn’t believe what a miracle it was that he was alive and with no lingering issues. Buddy has already made a full recovery since his surgery and is back to his normal self. Everyone who sees him can’t believe how well he is doing after all he has gone through. He is an inspiration to all who meet him and a reminder to be happy and love life no matter what challenges you face.
