It’s hard to believe, but adorable Tripawd Louie just turned eleven years young! And how is this energetic pup celebrating? By working hard alongside his human mom Marin, a high school senior, to help people pay for amputation surgery.
Together with the Tripawds Foundation 3 Legacy Fund he and Marin started, this dynamic duo is changing the cancer fight, one pup at a time!
Marin recently took time out of her busy studies to send us this love letter to her Tripawd Louie, when he celebrated his big day on January 31st. Let’s keep the party going!
A Love Letter to Tripawd Louie on his Eleventh Birthday
Dear Louie,
Happy Birthday! Today, you turn 11 years old!
I still remember the day we brought you home. You were a tiny ball of golden fluff, perfectly sized to curl up in my lap. You had the world’s longest tongue that wouldn’t stop showering us with kisses, and your eyes sparkled with kindness and mischief.
Back then, I never imagined the challenges you’d face-or the incredible strength you would show.
When the vet told us you had cancer, my world stopped.
The fear of losing you was unbearable. When they said your leg had to go, I wondered-would you still be able to walk me to school? Would you still pounce, leap, and raid the trash can with the same mischievous spark we all knew and loved? But Louie, you didn’t just survive, you thrived!
You showed me what resilience looks like.
How to keep going, even when things get tough. How to love life, even when it doesn’t go as planned. You proved to me that a missing piece doesn’t make you any less whole.
So today, on your 11th birthday, I celebrate YOU! Not just for surviving, but for inspiring. And I want your story to do more than warm hearts, I want it to change lives.

To help other dogs (and their humans) facing cancer get the treatment and support they deserve.
No one should have to say goodbye too soon just because they can’t afford life-saving care.
And this year, we have incredible news: We’re partnering with the Tripawds Foundation!
Together, we’re expanding our mission, providing financial aid to more families and ensuring that three-legged dogs like you get the love and care they need to live their best lives.
