Zeus is an awesome boy. We found “something” on his wrist in mid September of this year and confirmed that it was indeed a tumor 2 weeks later. Luckily it appears that the cancer has not spread, so since he is only 8, we decided to amputate and also do immunotherapy and make an anti-cancer vaccine from his tumor.
We will know in a few months if we have been successful. In the meantime, he has recovered quite well from his surgery has adapted beautifully to being a Tripawd and has returned to his sweet goofy vocal self. It is so great to see him wandering around in the backyard, enjoying the sun and fending off his sister Ruby.
I can’t say enough good things about Tripawds and all of the information that was provided. We purchased both a compression shirt and an elbow pad through Dogleggs and can’t wait for our new harness to arrive.
We are very hopeful for a long time ahead together with our boy! I know that our husky Ruby certainly hopes so!

What a beautiful boy! He reminds me of our malamute Kodibear who is 12 years old and had his right leg amputated at 8 due to cancer as well. We are so happy he is still with us and are also grateful for the support of the Tripawds community. Best of luck with his recovery – Zeus looks like a very strong and happy dog! Take care.
