Tri-kitty James Needs Help, and Gets It
I was going out of town for my moms surgery when my cat James came inside with a broken leg. I took him to the vet and had to leave him there. The animal clinic called the next day saying his break was so bad that his leg needed to be amputated costing $1,300. I live from check to check so there was no way I could afford that surgery.
James Comes Home Without Surgery
Three days later on the way home, I was speaking with the clinic trying to find a solution. I applied for a care credit card that they offered but didn’t qualify. They suggested that I bring him home to avoid further boarding costs until I can afford the surgery. I had to beg my dad to pay to get him out which was $410 for 3 days boarding, an x-ray, and medicine.
Amputation Assistance is an Application Away
I set him up in a kennel inside hoping he wouldn’t move his broken leg too much. The next day at work, I got online looking for any kind of help and came across the Tripawds Foundation. I filled out the application, sent the needed documents, and just kept looking for help. In 1 hour I got an email from them saying that they would pay $1,000 towards his amputation. That same day they paid the animal clinic. I could not believe it! I had to call the clinic to verify this was true.
Dealing with my mom’s health issues, this news meant the world to me! What the Tripawds Foundation did was so amazing and meant so much. James is now home, happy and getting around great. Soon he will have his cone removed and his staples out. This foundation saved my cat’s life because there was no way I could have paid for his surgery.
