ASAP Grant Eases Surgery Costs for Tripawd Cat Poe
Hi! My sweet boy Poe needed to get his entire left arm amputated due to an accident that happened just a month ago. He was exploring in the basement and unfortunately a couple of storage boxes fell on top of him and trapped him underneath. I immediately drove him to the vet emergency hospital that night. He had a broken shoulder and severed an important nerve and amputation was merely his only option.
I was willing to do whatever it would take for my sweet baby boy to be able to live a full happy life. I choose to take out a loan to pay for his surgery because it was a large sum of money. I am a young hairstylist building my book of clients.
The ASAP grant would help me immensely since I am balancing paying rent, bills and the loan back for Poe’s amputation. Additionally when I do not work I do not get paid; I missed two days of work due to the accident and the surgery was unexpectedly pushed back a day.
Fortunately Poe is doing amazing and the amputation was successful. I am so proud of him for being so resilient and recovering and adjusting so quickly!
