ASAP Grant Helps Tripawd Ziggy Get Back to His Adventurous Life

Here is Ziggy’s story, as told by his human Yana

Ziggy is a huge part of our lives—our companion and our daily dose of happiness.

With a toy in paw and a smile on his face, Ziggy’s ready to take on what’s next.

He’s full of energy and always up for an adventure, but recently, he ran into the road and was hit by a car.

Thankfully, he survived, but his leg was badly injured, and after consulting with the vet, we were told that amputation is the best option to give him a pain-free life.

It’s tough to process, but we know Ziggy is resilient. He’s still wagging his tail, still his same sweet self, and we just want to get him through this so he can keep enjoying life.

The challenge we’re facing now is the financial burden. Vet care on Maui is expensive, and the cost of the surgery and follow-up care is more than we can manage on our own—especially as I’m currently pregnant.

Preparing for a baby comes with its own expenses, and this unexpected emergency has added a lot of financial strain.

The ASAP grant would be a huge help, allowing us to focus on getting Ziggy healthy rather than stressing about how to cover the costs.

Ziggy got the care he needed on Maui

We’re committed to making sure he gets the care he needs, and with support, we know he’ll adjust just fine.

He has so much life left to live, and we just want to give him the best chance to keep doing what he loves—exploring, playing, and being part of our family.
