ASAP Grant Helps Tripawd Wednesday After Emergency Surgery
My cat Wednesday recently had to undergo an emergency leg amputation due to a severe bite wound that left his bone exposed. The injury was so advanced that there was no other option to save his life or stop his pain.
As his pet owner, I couldn’t bear to let him suffer. I made the decision to go forward with the surgery, even though I didn’t have the funds. I used everything I had saved and more to cover the cost.
The surgery went well, and Wednesday is recovering slowly, but it’s been a very emotional and financially stressful time for us. I’ve created a safe and comfortable space for him to rest and heal, but between the medications, post-op care, and the initial surgery cost, the financial toll has been significant.
Receiving the ASAP grant would mean I could begin to recover from the financial hit this emergency caused. It would help me catch up on bills, continue to provide Wednesday with the care he needs, and give us both a much needed sense of relief.
