Tripawd Kitten Nubi Gets Help with Amputation Surgery
Nubi, a beloved pet, faced a severe health challenge when his owners discovered him incessantly licking and biting at an injured leg, leading to the alarming sight of bone protruding from open wounds. Concerned, they sought veterinary care, where X-rays revealed jagged ends of the tibia and fibula, indicating excruciating pain and necessitating the amputation of the affected leg. Despite the financial strain, the surgery was promptly carried out and proved to be a success.
The financial burden of the surgery was significantly eased by a grant from the Tripawds Foundation’s ASAP program, designed to support families with tripod pets facing unexpected veterinary expenses. This assistance not only facilitated Nubi’s urgent care but also highlighted the importance of community support in pet health crises.
