ASAP Grant Helps New Tripawd Eirene Kitty Get Amputation Surgery
Eirene was attacked by two stray dogs right outside of my apartment. I was able to scare the dogs off, but they had already broken her elbow had bitten her all over.
I rushed her to the vet where they performed tests and consulted with a specialist. The specialist determined that her elbow was in need of serious surgery.
The options are putting in two plates that could fix the bone but not guarantee full use of her leg or amputation. After talking with my vet Dr. Burns, we agreed that amputation was the best route.
The ASAP grant will help me pay for the surgery. I am unfortunately low income and cannot afford her vet bills. I have already asked all friends and family to help cover her initial vet visit.
I have also applied for CareCredit but was denied. Getting this grant would be life changing for my little family.
I want to give Eirene the best life I can, but I need help doing so. I would truly appreciate this grant and any help I can get. I hope to be able to pay it forward one day.
